I'm Back!!!!

Ok so I have not done very well with my blogging lately. We have had a pretty good summer so far. Joe went to Las Vegas last week for a trade show. He was able to make lots of contacts, which is a good thing. Last week the boys and I had Vacation Bible School. I was the director for 2nd Grade. Both Conner and Heath enjoyed the week but were worn out. It has been very hot around our neck of the woods. I miss SPRING!!!! We have had a lot of visitors in and out during the month of June. My Aunt, Uncle and cousin stayed for a few days on their way to and fro from cousin that lives in Indiana. Dad stopped in overnight as he had a seminar to do in Milledgeville, GA. Then my mother in law and nephew and nieces came for an overnight visit and to attend Heath's birthday party.

Heath turned 3 on June 6th. We had a party at our house in the back yard, until it got too hot and we moved inside. We had an airplane themed party. And of course I had to make and airplane cake. Heath had a great time. He is enjoying all his gifts and loves his new bike that we got him. It is a Diego bike and come complete with his own Rescue Pack. Our baby is no longer a baby. He is fully potty trained, he even makes it through the night. What a blessing and savings not to have to buy diapers anymore.

If you would like to see all the pictured from Heath's birthday you can look at my Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3350&l=ec704&id=1144351497

Have a good weekend.

It has been a CRAZY WEEK!!!

On Tuesday, May 13th, Conner graduated from Pre-K. He was so excited but at the same time does not understand why he still had to school after graduation. I do not blame him! His last day is this Friday, May 23rd. Here is a picture of him and his girlfriend Carolyn. He talks about her all the time.

On Wednesday night was our Children's Choir end of the year program at church. Conner got to sing as well as entertain the whole crowd. He was on the front row and he was dancing and jumping around. I was sitting on the front row as I was waiting for my class to sing. Anyway, after they sang their first song everyone started clapping except me. I was hiding from my embarrassment. They he said out loud so that the whole church could hear "Mommy why are you not clapping?" The whole church laughed and he said "Mommy what is so funny?" At this point I was under the pew and peeing in my pants. After their second song I made sure that I clapped so that he would not have a comment. Well there was still a comment "Mommy Your Clapping!" After the whole program was over I had many people say to me "Oh, he's yours!" That made me feel just great. I will definitely never for get the moment.

Since my last injection that was last week I have not had any improvement with my back. It was very painful this time and I thought it would help since it was so painful. Also since then I have been dealing with being dizzy and lightheaded. I went to my Ortho. specialist on Thursday and he told me that the dizzy spells and lightheadedness were not because of the injection. He then told me to check in with my family practice doctor. He asked me how the injection made me feel. When I told him it did not help he told me that he was at the point that there was nothing else he could do. I just cried because I am back at square one.

On Friday I went to the family practice doctor and I was diagnosed with Vertigo, inner ear imbalance. So I am on meds. for that and starting to feel a little bit better. The world has literary been spinning around.

It is always something!!!!

This weekend I made to cakes for my friend Stephanie. Both her boys birthday parties were this weekend. One was having his at the bowling alley and the other was a pool party. Here are the final out comes.

Have a good week. I am dreading it being the last week of school, what am I going to do with the boys ALL SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!

No Luck!!

Well my Epidural Steroid Injection was not a success. It did not help me and I feel the same as before I had it. I went to the Dr. today and found out the next step. And that is to have a more invasive and powerful Epidural Steroid Injection directly into the disc. The Dr. informed me that this would be more painful than the last injection. I was so happy to hear that, NOT!!! So I will go next Wednesday, May 7th for this injection. I am sure this will put me out of commission until at least the weekend if not longer.

The rest of the family is doing great. Conner is all ready for summer as he wants to go to the pool. He asks everyday to go. If we did not have a cold front come through this week it might have been ok. He is getting all excited to graduate from Pre-K. They are having a little ceremony with caps, gowns and the whole nine yards. He talks everyday about going to Kindergarten at the big school.

Heath is the same old lover as usual. He is also enjoying being able to play outside in the nice weather. His 3rd birthday is getting closer and closer. Can you believe it. My how the time flies.

Joe is busy with his business. He laughs because I say whatever it is he does. But that is because it is such a wide span of things that he does and can do. The one thing he does not do is CLEAN!!!!!

Have a GREAT WEEKEND!!

Doing Better

Well I am feeling better everyday, which is a great sign. I still have some pain but not like I had on Friday. I am also still tired. I have not slept well as that is one of the side affects. Gotta take the good with the bad. I really think we found an answer to help with my pain. I am looking forward to being pain free, what is that like? Thank you all for the prayers, well wishes and concern. It helps to know that there are people out there praying for you.

Epidural Steroid Injection

Well everything went well yesterday with my injection. I was as nervous as could be so they were so nice to give me a sedative. The whole thing last about 15 minutes. But then I had some side affects. I got all dizzy, hot and flush. So they had to give me an IV of fluids. When I felt better they moved to the recovery area where my blood pressure was very low. They figured it was because I was dehydrated, since I could not eat and drink all day. So they gave me some juice as well as the fluid IV. I had to stay a little longer until my heart rate was up. I felt fine after leaving but after all half of my body was numb. But that numbness started wearing off on the long drive home. So I was very ready to get to my bed. I was tired and felt funny but ok for the most part. Then I felt pain after all the numbing meds wore off. After sleeping I feel better this morning, still some pain but not as bad as I thought it would be. Still going to hang low and enjoy my pampering from Joe and the boys. It was so sweet last night Conner was trying to take care of. He even felt the need to eat dinner with me in bed. Then he offered to play some games with me and even read me a book. And asked me if I wanted some ice cream to make me feel better. You know ice cream helps everything. He kept asking me all night how I felt and this morning if I was feeling better. I will keep you posted on the happenings. Thank you all for your prayers they were definitely answered.

Finally, my MRI

After over a year of trying I FINALLY got my MRI today!!!! YEAH!!!! I also saw the Dr. and got my results. I have 2 bulging discs. So what am I going to do? Well surgery is really not recommended as it has not proven to be very successful. So my option right now is to have a Epidural Steroid Injection into the disc. Now doesn't that sound like a blast, NOT!!!! If you want to read more on this, for those that like that kind of stuff here you go. Just cut and paste the links at the bottom. I will be having this procedure done on Friday afternoon. Yes, this Friday! My appointment is for 3 pm but I have to be there at 2pm. I will not be able to drive for 24 hours and it could take up to 2 weeks to take affect (I hope it will not take that long). Please remember me in your prayers. I will try to update everyone as soon as possible to let you know how it went. Until then.

Spring Break

This week we have been on Spring Break. We have not done anything but chill out around the house, and suffer from the extremely high pollen counts we have been having. (120 is considered very high and yesterday the count was 2709 and today it is in the 2900 area). So therefore we have not headed out of the house. Joe has been working at the church all week doing whatever it is that he does. We have also been trying to figure out what to do since Joe's vehicle we found out last Friday is no longer drivable. It needs more work on it than the vehicle is worth. So it looks like we will have to get a new vehicle. Pray for this situation as it does not come at a great time in our financial lives.
